Dare to Lead

Dare to Lead is a good read for anyone who is interested in challenging themselves and their colleagues to strive for a communication style that is clear and transparent. The base for this communication and leadership style is vulnerability. Brown spends several chapters exploring the concept of vulnerability and leadership and providing examples and case studies. She makes a very good case for being authentic and honest and for practicing empathy. The “Dare” in the title is fitting as it requires some bravery to stray so far from typical teamwork. I dare you to read it and give it a try!
