May 25th 2017 at 7 pm

Sir Robert Borden High School – 131 Greenbank Rd, Ottawa

In this keynote address, Marlene Power will explore the Risky playstories and lessons learned from children and educators who are given the opportunity to play outdoors, and the emerging research that supports this work. She will reflect on the role of educators and parents to create environments where we can say “YES” more often to children’s natural and developmentally appropriate desire to climb, run, jump, hide, build, and explore outdoors.

3 logos upNina Weiler, Principal, Forest Valley Elementary School will share
how forest and nature programming has been embraced at her school and what this change has meant to her students.
