Autism Spectrum Disorder
A two hour presentation describing the characteristics and the diagnostic criteria of ASD. The objective is to help the teaching team gain knowledge on ASD, learn strategies, environmental adaptations and resources to help identify and meet individual needs in a child care setting.

Transition to School
This presentation is intended for parents/guardians who have a child with special needs who will be starting school in September 2020.
The following topics will be presented during the session:
- Rights and supports that your school must provide to meet the needs of your child;
- Review of Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) & the Individual Education Plan (IEP);
- Strategies to ensure a good transition between the child care program and the school;
- Strategies to facilitate information sharing and effective communication with the school board.
